Rolling like a parent

Now that we're having two, the inevitable question becomes, "What will happen to the Audi?"

It's no surprise that my car isn't exactly a family car, seeing as how it fits a total of three people at best. And when Jordan's in his car seat in the back, he can barely stretch out his legs. It's worse than sitting in an airplane.

While I'm thinking of a small cross-over type car, Jon's thinking bigger. Much bigger. As in minivan. Just saying "minivan" makes me shudder. If we had a whole brood of children, then that would make sense. However, it's just he, I, Jordan and baby #2. No need for a minivan, I say.

But it appears all those ads specifically targeting dads has permeated my vulnerable husband. You know the ones; where they show the dad loading up band equipment in the back, or the one where they show some mega-rock band playing on the flip-down DVD players. Yeah, those. I guess minivan advertisers figured moms were a lost cause, so they're now targeting the weaker of the sex.

And it's working.

Will she give up her coolness factor to tromp around in a glorified mom bus? Hell no. But I have a feeling Jon will keep pressing on for a minivan. Let the battle of the cars begin.
